VHDA Homebuyer Education Class (English)
As part of our program, we provide free homebuyer counseling services. Classes are held monthly and some of the topics we cover are:
• Credit and personal finance
• Budgeting
• Qualifying for a home loan
• Negotiating a purchase
• Applying for a mortgage
• Other important aspects of the home buying process
The HomeWorks staff is here to help you by taking the mystery out of the process of buying a home.

Financial Fitness & Predatory Lending Awareness Worskshop
The HomeWorks staff provides free financial fitness education classes in the areas of:
• Credit Management
• Budgeting
• Basics of banking
• Borrowing basics
• Personal Finance
• Other important aspects of financial education
These workshops are presented by certified financial counselors. All literature and materials are provided by HomeWorks at no cost.
Get the Facts Workshop
Come to our free "Get the Facts" workshop to learn what it really takes to become a homeowner. This workshop is led by one of our experienced housing counselors in an informal and interactive format, so you'll have plenty of time to ask all your questions. We'll give you the facts, plus we'll dispel the common myths about homeownership that could be unecessarily keeping you from the home of your dreams.
